‘The Secrets Agency’ (2008)

“A free interactive service in which members are invited to either anonymously deposit secrets that they no longer wish to keep or become ‘keepers’ of discarded secrets. Each secret is hand-matched to a suitable keeper according to specified criteria. There is a strict selection process as not everyone is suited to care for such sensitive information – only the trustworthy need apply. Each deposited secret is sent to its new guardian – the terms state that it must be kept, however it is personal choice whether or not to break the seal and read the secret.”

‘The Secrets Agency’ was presented as a mobile participatory installation for the following exhibitions in 2008: ‘OBsessions’ at Modern Art Oxford; ‘Thirst’ at Beldam Gallery (Brunel University); ‘Core’ at the Old Truman Brewery (London) and Oxford Brookes Fine Art Degree Show.
